"The most serious suspension of democratic rights in a Western country since the Second World War. "
So says Amnesty Internationa the events taking place during the G8 summit in Genoa. In the last post I talked about plenty of clashes that took place on that occasion, but now I would like to dwell on why of my choice to write on the subject. As we all know July 7 to 9 took place on the G8 in 2008, even at that anti-globalization groups took to the streets to express their disappointment, their disapproval of the choices made by a small circle of heads of state on the fate of all humankind, choices that ultimately are insufficient and inadequate. In fact, at the end of the summit 's agreement was to decide to reduce by 50% by 2050 emissions of carbon dioxide! Apparently our leaders were willing to make us laugh have been discussing for three days to reach an agreement that will solve nothing, an agreement was to come, to get results, long ago, this is a decision that came so LATE respect to the flow of events, it's too late! But there is, in fact, these decisions were made without even consulting the developing countries including China and India, which surely will not let anything stop their industrial growth. Now so I wonder, what they have done really during the G8? Certainly have not worked, at least you will take a nice Pokerino to pass the time. Now belonging to the jokes (and I do not know what there is to joke about it) what is the G8, it is only an unnecessary waste of time? Apparently Yes, you might as well abolish it, because if they stand to lose time, each leading to something else to think about, especially our Silvio Berlusconi, the Italian debt growing economy that is falling apart has his work cut out. Moreover, if our heads of state have a great desire to be together to have fun, no need to hold the G8 meeting there is always the UN!
